I was wondering if anyone is aware of a product that holds video similar to an iPod or iPhone, but can do so in .avi or divx format. I have an extensive library of video in such format and find it to be a pain to convert each one to .mp4 before i can play it on my tv through the iPhone.

Or is there something that can convert a usb out from an external drive to rca or svideo in on a tv. I understand some type of software or codecs would be required and i probably am living in fantasy land on this one. I want to be able to play my digital media on my tv without converting to .mp4 or hooking my laptop to the tv.

    Thanks a ton.

Maybe https://forum.videohelp.com/topic358929.html for $99. Or do you want it to be smaller/portable?

Thanks so much for the response. This is what I was looking for. What would this be called if i wanted to look at comparable products? All of the other ones I can find have storage capacities that i do not need, as I have 2tb.

The WD media players sounds better to me. There isn't a good term for these type of players. Search for Hard Drive Media Player, Media Tank, etc. You could always set up a home theater computer too.
