increasing web cam quality using ffdshow or other software?

can someone write instruction to improving webcam quality with ffdshow
also link would be good
or maybe a software which doing this...:]

actually i think i just have problems with capturing the webcam signals with ffdshow i tyhink its nor read them...

while running ffdshow i add the camers program to ffdshow list but its not doing nothing to the cam video(LIVE VIDEO)...:]

Can you see the video at all? Software or codecs aren't going to change the quality very much. The quality is determined by the camera that is actually filming/broadcasting the image.

why isnt it the same principle as incrasing video file quality...i mean principle...:]

You can't increase the quality of a video file either. Any alterations to the original file, reduce quality. So the only way to produce high quality files is to start with a high quality source.

Web cams have various qualities. You can buy a low resolution, low bit rate web cam and expect to get the same quality picture as a high resolution, high bit rate camera simply by using a better codec.

Quality begins with the source, in this case, the web cam itself.
