    I have tried the philips website but i am unable to find anything there

    Just take a look to the left. You won't find any useful information from Philips website.

    What he meant was to click on the DVD Hacks link on the left, select your DVD player from the list and click on the Get button. You need a special remote control to region-hack Philips DVD622 player.
