    G'day there
Can I connect two SATA HDDs to the same PCI to Sata card? Currently I have the master to the MB and the slave to the PCI card, which is running really well, but my IDE slave that was on the MB is just gone, and the IDE master which was installed at the same time, so it must go It could die any time.
I'm asking this because I'm finding more and more difficult to find IDE drives.

Thank you for whatever bone you throw me.

SATA needs a separate channel (And connector) for each drive. If your SATA card has two channels, then you can use two devices. I have one computer with two SATA PCI cards with four connections each and use four drives on each, for a total of eight.

If you need to boot the PC from the PCI card, you may have to install drivers for that.

Thank you redwudz for your answer.
My card has two internal SATA and one IDE connections and one external SATA To the back of the box. I have installed the drivers that came with it.
When I first tested the HDD I thougt it wasn't working. There was no vibration whatsoever to the touch, but Windows could see it, so I went ahead and formatted it and It's running as slave without any issues. Data cable lets air circulate much freer and better. I could not be any happier with it.

    Thank you for your help
