    Hi, my mouse wheel has stopped working, that is, no matter what programme I am using it won't respond to the wheel being turned. I've played with the software and thats done no good. So do I need a new mouse?

    Most likely. Try testing the mouse on another computer - if you get the same results, then the mouse is broken.
