  1. ok so i ripped a few of my sons dvds cuz he's 7 and keeps scratching them. i can stream avi's to my xbox 360 so that's what i wanna do with his movies.. the problem is that after i ripped the dvd, there's like 4 .vob files 2 .bup files and 2 .ifo files and i've tried like 4 different converters and they wont' take all those files at 1 time. these files are still in the original video_ts folder from when i ripped it with dvdfab. i tried converting it to .avi with dvd fab but it made 2 .avi files for some stupid reason, i just want 1 file. hope i explained all this right, thanks for any help in advance

Simplify the process..dvd to iso using dvdfab, then open the iso file using fairusewizard to convert to avi.

Most converters should take care of this problem for you provided you choose the correct file inside the VIDEO_TS folder. Having said that....the sure-fire way is to create one file prior to the conversion is with VOB2MPEG. It will join up those VOB files into one big lump of video for you....and DVD is MPEG2 so there will be no changes to the video quality....until you convert to avi/divx/xvid/whichever.

It should be right next to the "output folder" option on the right....but the jury is still out on
whether that option is on all of the free versions or not. Some say they see it....some don't.

That's the whole movie in unmodified form. Open that in handbrake or avidemux or your favorite conversion program and encode away as H264 or XviD or whatever else tickles your fancy.
