    Usually when I get an mp4 file I can use mp4ui to extract the video and audio load into TMPGEnc and create mpeg-1 file. I looked through the site and found YAMB and was able to extract the video. It is a *.h264 file and I have no idea how to create mpeg file from that.

    Use avidemux and convert the mp4 directly to mpeg1.

    Hi. Im having trouble converting the mp4 files to vcd with this program.

    Whenever I open a file I get this popup:

    When I use safe mode to encode, the program crashes.

    When I don't and try to encode it crashes again.

    Hi.

    I think I may have found the solution to my problem. Instead of using the VCD (mpeg2enc) option that gets chosen when using AUTO feature, I used VCD (LAC).

    Seems to do the trick.

    @paulw

    I put all the mpeg1 videos into dvd format for my friend.
