I´m considering buying a video camera with a memory card which stores mpeg 4 videofiles (scenes, clips). But, if each clip is, let´s say, one minute long, I will end up with 120 mpeg-files if I create a 2 hours long film. Importing 120 files into Adobe Premiere Elements seems to be rather unpractical. And if I let the camera join videoclips before importing them into Adobe, I am afraid that I am loosing the time&date-information of the invidual clips. Any suggestions to handle this?

Actually, importing HDD clips is a lot less time-consuming than having to capture files off of tape playback. You're probably saving yourself time in the long run - I usually organize my video files by scene and put them into separate folders on my PC. What kind of video are you shooting that the time and date information for exactly when they were shot is really that crucial?
