    the video files size is 13gb how do i fit it to a 8.5gb dvd+r dl?

    My guess (since you give no info) is that this is DV AVI file?

    What do you intend to do with it?

    Yep that is a good guess just from the file size alone. If it is an hour of dv-avi video then you will need to author it to a dual layer dvd.

    Use videohelp bitrate calculator to calulate the bitrate. An hour would fit at the highest bitate allowed:

    1 hour

    1 x 7.95gb (dvd9)

    audio 224

    bitrate - 9570 (dvd max 9570).

    You may want to go lower to 8000 to ensure more compatibility. Some dvd players may not like max bitrates on homemade discs.

    But give us more detail on the files and we can help more.
