It looks like a single-exhaust version of the YF-23? Whatever it is it probably shouldn't be on the deck of a carrier. Makes me think it's a chop.

The one on the top photo looks like the jet from "Stealth" movie, but the bottom photo looks like a different concept plane!
I'm not sure that they're both from Stealth?! -
since it is a movie crew filming in the one pic -.. i would say it is a prop

yeah, the guy in a blue sweat jacket and camo shorts (with white tube socks) kinda gives it away

I was thinking it did look the stealth movie.
And actually the macross fighters were actually based on the f14 and f16 jets from the mid 80s.
This design is much more recent.
Here is max sterlings veritech in plane mode:
(this is off the net - I do not own this)
EDIT - Sorry I didn't notice the original posters mention of MACROSS PLUS - I don't know what that looks like off the top of my head.... however it would be more recent then the original ROBOTECH .....Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -

Macross Plus has a number of interesting designs. I think that's what somebody else referred to. The YF-21 is one. But it's still not all that close to the image in the above photo.
I do have the Max-type fighters, two different ones, in fact. Both are Super's too!
If anything, the photo looks like one of the lesser-known stealths the military currently uses.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)
