I am used to handbrake on the mac, so I just rip DVDs into a quicktime movie and watch them later.

I have used DVDshrink to copy a DVD to my hard drive. I can view it with VLC, although annoying file titles pop up.

Do I just use a free burning program to get this data onto a physical DVD?

related question: What is the least painful (free and easy) way to convert the DVDshrink files to a quicktime movie?

If you just tell me what phrase to search the forums for, I can take it from there. Thank you!

If you want to burn it use imgburn, choose to make a data dvd and add the video_ts folder and imgburn will adjust the settings for a dvd-video.

Use mpeg streamclip if you want to convert the dvd to quicktime mov.
