Been burning AVI files onto DVD for a couple of months now. I haven't had too many problems either, except all of a sudden the menus that I create to show before the movie starts are not playing back in our home DVD player. The movie plays back fine, but the menu that I created is not there.

I haven't really changed any of the variables on how I record each time, but I have been trying out different software.Currently I've been trying out Super DVD Creator, but before that I had the same problem show up with DVD MovieFactory Plus 6.

I should also mention that the few times this has done that, I set it up to use my own custom background and music. I don't know if the problem would exist if I used one of the default templates or not.

I think you want this in the DVD authoring forum. Moving you.

Not much experience with Movie Factory, but you could try GUI for dvdauthor for a bit more control over your authoring.

Thanks, I will give it a try! Now it says "GUI for dvdauthor". Does that mean that dvdauthor is another program that I have to use in conjunction with GUI for dvdauthor or am I reading it wrong?

It operates like a single program. It's a 'front end' for the dvdauthor program. dvdauthor is a 'command line' program. The GUI (Graphic User Interface) makes it much easier to use.
