I have always converted my dvd's to mkv files and put them on my file server.
Now im starting to build up my blu ray collection I would like to do the same with these.
Video I have converted no problem
Audio has got me a little bit stuck.
The blu ray which I have copied so far have LCPM audio tracks and then none english dts.
I can convert this to AC3 using eac3to but the max bitrate is only 640kbps for 6 channels
My question is can I encode to another format which lets me have around the same at dts (1536kbps)
From what I have read its not possible to encode to dts so need some sort of alternative.
Think I have solved the problem. option was right infront of me the whole time![]()
