  1. I wanted to crate ifo and bup files for some vob files, but it tells me, something like, the vobs are invalid/could find no pointers...

I was thinking, it could be because this files, are separated, to little files of hundered and something MB, could that be the problem? they have to be not less than 1gb,for ifoedit create the needed files right?

How have you acquired the vobs? Ripped from dvds? Downloaded? Converted(with what software)?

Downloaded VOBs are usually bad news. Even when they have the BUPS and IFO files they rarely produce a working DVD without extra work.

VOBs can be any size up to 1000MC and still be compliant. Over that size and they aren't. If you have a disc with lots of short titlesets then you could have lots of smaller VOBs. However at the moment you don't have squat.

Some authoring tools will import VOBs. Personally I don't like working with them (and neither do most respectable authoring tools) because you don't know what's in them. Use VOB to mpg to extract the video and audio you need into mpg files, then author a new disc.
