Try to frame your question clearly with details on what you've done. No one here is psychic...

What software are you using? What are you doing? Joining files?

Sorry. I have just installed DVD Slideshow GUI and am trying to import files. I am able to import the JPG files but when it comes to the avi files I get the message that it is uinable to import because the framerate does not match. As I am pretty new at this sort of thing Ido not understand what is what is meant by not matching framerate.

As Baldrick mentioned, that problem happens most times when you are trying to join two files with different framerates. The 'fix' is generally to change the framerate of one or the other of the files by re-encoding so that they match. You can use a program like Gspot or MediaInfo to see what the framerates are. Depending on the AVI type, you can probably use a program like VirtualDub or similar to re-encode them.

When joining files, the framerates, framesize, video and audio formats have to match exactly.

    And welcome to our forums.

EDIT: Common framerates are 25fps for PAL and 29.97fps or 23.976fps for NTSC. But other source video files, such as digital cameras, may use different framerates. Generally, for a DVD, you have to use the framerates I listed. For the DVD specification, format and structure, see 'WHAT IS' DVD to the upper left on this page.
