I see the pictures from the photos slideshow are not the same clear as the original pictures. Is it true that the picture will be reduced clarity after it is made a photo slideshow? Can anyone explain why and how to minimize the loss of clarity?

What are your source pictures? ~3000x2000 JPG files? If you're making a DVD you are reducing that to 720x480. You lose a very large portion of the resolution. If you want to do better you'll need to make HD discs (1920x1080) like AVCHD for playback on Blu-ray players.

Many DVD players play photos at max tv resolution from a thumbdrive in the USB slot, or off a CD-R.
