  1. i have a few thousand pictures and want to share them with family and friends, but i dont want them to have the pictures.

    i tried Nero but if you browse the CD or DVD you can copy the pictures over to your local drive

    any ideas???

  2. I'd suggest not putting the original (full size) photo on the disk. Resize them to screen size (or smaller) and they wouldn't be printable (with any semblance of quality anyway).

    There are tools which can simplify this process. I myself have a resizing tool which can batch process hundreds of photos at one time. Choose from thousands of resizing options with only a few clicks of the mouse. http://www.freewebs.com/leelim2

    You cannot give them out and protect them. As suggested, resize them down so they aren't as easy to print is one option. Watermarking them is another. But honestly, you can't let people have them, and protect them.

  4. In some slideshow programs such as Ulead DVD PictureShow there's the option to not add the photos to a folder,it will be more difficult to extract the photos from VOB's.I'm not sure if Nero has this option but you could delete the PICTURE folder before burning.
    Another option is to overlay your name or company on the photo,cumbersome but effective.
