Hello, I read a lot on DivX->SVCD, but I would like to know what I should really do.
I have a lot of DivX movies, on 1 or 2 CDs. Those on 1CD, i need to convert them on 2CDs for SVCD (~2100 bitrate), and cutting them. But the problem is with those with 2 DivX CDs. I tried to convert each CD (~60min each) in juste one SVCD CD, at 1600 bitrate, what do you thing about that ?...can low bitrate implies "skipping video" or just lowest quality image ? Is it ennouth ?
Other tips ? ;)
thx

my rule for avi is if my source avi fits on one cd then i go with one cd on my destination svcd. cinema craft encoder with enough VBR passes (at least 3) will keep up with a really good avi. if its a crappy avi i usually go with a tmpgenc vcd at a bitrate to fit on one cd ( at that point i calculate bitrate to use close to the entire 74 or 80 mins for each cd)
