I have a series of AVI files that i would like to burn with imgburn to play on a standalone dvd player. My question is how do you do this? Is this the best program to use? I just want the easiest way, want to avoid encoding all the files if i can help it. Thank you. Just want to burn a disc that doesn't take a long time.

just burn it then
open imgburn which is good yes,
click write file to disk, ehich is build mode.
drag files into the dialog.
untick verify disk,
and burn
whether re-encoding is required is another issue.
use gspot or mediainfo to check the files for any properties
that may cause playback to fail.
or rather burn files, try them, and on failing ones check for offending property."I'll give you five dollars if you let me throw a rock at you" -
