convert MOV file?

I want to convert a Quicktime file to MPEG2.
The file is on Archive.org, at http://ia300116.us.archive.org/1/items/R._Tam_Sessions_Complete_4/R_Tam_Sessions_Full.mov

I can play this in VLC, MPC, but how to I convert it to MPEG2?
Once in AVS I can use my normal tools, so I tried to use an AVS file with DirectShowSource. But it appears to be somehow divided into segments and this only shows the first minute or so of the 8 minute file.

Tried mpeg streamclip?

I justed tested xvid4psp and it also just converts the first minute so something is special with the mov.

I found the same clip on Youtube and downloaded that; easier to work with that format.
