NTSC- PAL

Dear all.
I have recently acquired a copy of Pinacle Studio plus Version 11. I have downloaded my clips from my Panasonic HDC HS9 camcorder (which I purchased in the UK) successfully, but when I try to play them I get the error message "Pinqcle Studi 11 is not set up for PAL.
In the set up box under capture source the TV Standard box is set to NTSC and is greyed out, meaning I cannot access it to change it to PAl
I can only presume that the version I have acquired is for north America. Is there a codec I can download that will get around this problem. If not can you suggest anything else.
Also the clips I have downloaded have downloaded with the file extension .MTS Don't know if this will have any baring on the matter. There is a video clip that came with the programme which has the file extension .MPEG and it plays fine.

Or use another video editor, I like Ulead VideoStudio.

In answer to your question the version I was using was a copy but I also have a TRIAL Version that came with my Camcorder. I have tried this and got the same error message. after contacting Pinnacle it appears that, although I purchased my camcorder from Curry's in the UK it c with a North American trial version. I wonder how many more people have had the same problem. This software is useless unless there is a patch or some other means of converting it to PAL. Any suggestions
