Does anyone have any home lighting suggestions? I am putting all new lighting in my living room and wanted to have plenty of light for my Canon 400D and Canon HV30. I am thinking of putting in pot(?) lighting in the ceiling, and maybe having a lot of lights on a few different switches so that I can have normal lighting most of the time and a ton of light when I am shooting. Maybe add a dimmer switch, too. Also, I have the Reveal light bulbs through out the house that supposedly have a wider color spectrum. They seem to work okay. Does anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks,
Adam

If you are shooting video, overhead lights aren't going to help that much, except for fill in. You still need ground level lighting, usually portable. A couple of diffused tripod mounted lights or a umbrella reflector or two would be my choice.
If you really want ceiling mounted lighting for video, consider a track light set up. They have the advantage of being adjustable and you can add lights as needed. -
depends on what you want to shoot in the living room. closeups in high def on the couch? a couple of rewudz's big lights on rollers maybe? or large lamp base track lighting with heavy duty wiring that you could install spot lamps into when needed might work.
