I recently bought a Canon HV30 and I am thinking of buying a microphone for it and probably a wide angle lens also. Does anyone have any recommendations? I have heard that the HV30 is a loud camera, and that there may be issues with putting a mic on top of it. Has anyone noticed this? Is there any certain kind of MiniDV tape that works best with HDV cameras? Also, are there any other accessories that you guys would recommend?

    Thanks,
    Adam

I 've got the SONY ECM-MS908C, although let your ears make the decision:

Here's a low cost wide angle lens, although I bought a Raynox

I use these tapes. You don't need to buy the more expensive HD versions.
