I want to make digital photo albums that can be viewed on dvd. Is there a dvd authoring program out there that specializes in this? Or at least one that has page turning on main menu. Thanks

It would be done by inserting a video clip with the page turn in between the two menu pages. While it is possible, it would be time consuming if you have multiple menu pages, as you would have to create page turn effects for each possible menu combination. I cannot see who it could be easily automated and still give convincing results, so I doubt you will find anything that does it.
On the other-hand, it is a very common effect in most editing tools and slideshow programs, so putting page turns between images should be easy (if cliched)Read my blog here.

Why would you use the DVD authoring program to create the photo slide show? Make the slide show using MAGIX software Photostory 6 which has page turn transition effects. So does Premiere. MAGIX is cheaper and does a fine job. After creating the mpg or wmv or avi or whatever then use an authoring tool to burn to dvd. Both MAGIX and Premiere (and probably lots of others!) will do both... you drag the photos into a storyboard or a timeline, add music, set up the menu and burn it to dvd.
Or maybe I'm not understanding what you want the dvd authoring tool to do?To air is human. -
I think he's wanting to make a slideshow for DVD based on stills ?
DVD Slideshow GUI uses the avisynth transall plugin and there is a simple flip page transition. It's simple to use , automated, but limited in quality and customization - but that's what you get for free
Adobe Premiere, as mentioned above, is expensive and has several page turn effects transitions that are easy to implement. You have more control (e.g. over direction, style) and it definitely looks better. Sony Vegas Pro also has a few simple page turn effects. These doesn't author the DVD, they just makes the "assets" which you would import into your authoring tool.
Adobe After Effects - difficult to use, expensive, but very customizable and you can get incredibly realistic results if you put the time into it. This doesn't author the actual dvd either, just makes the special effects into the "assets"
