Hello all,
I'm using StaxRip to convert my DV source footage to H264. I'm afraid I've confused myself quite a bit in regards to which resolution I should be using to reduce the size of my DV source. Previously I had my Flash encoder resize to 480x360, and this has worked great, everything looks the way it should. However, why is that every program (including StaxRip) insist on resizing to 480x320. At that resolution, the encoded video looks stretched.
Can anyone help me understand what is going on? Thanks!

If your source is 4:3 I would use 480x360 as it 's also 4:3 pixel aspect ratio.
480/360 = 1.333 = 4:3
