    Hi there,
first time converting my MiniDV camcorder tapes to DVD. Tried a few freewares and have finally settled for FAVC.

I have a bunch of captured AVI files that FAVC converts to DVD but the thing is that each AVI becomes a Title. I want each AVI to become a chapter instead. I searched a lot but couldn't find any direction on how to go about doing this, if at all possible. Can anyone please help me with this ?
    Thanks!

You can't. Simple as that. FAVC only creates titles. You have to put all the clips into a single clip first, and then author with a tool that lets you chose where your chapter stops go. FAVC is an all-in-one avi to DVD converter. It is a very good for that task, but it is not a full featured authoring tool.

DVD Flick will let you put all your clips into a single title, but you still cannot chose where your chapter stops will be, other than at regular (e.g. 5 minute) intervals.

Use a real authoring tool if you want a tailored output.

Will the free version of MuxMan do it ? I haven't tried it yet but looks like it creates one title with each input file becoming a chapter ? That is fine for me, I don't care about titles at this point.

I am settling in with just using HCEnc standalone (i.e. with AVISynth). I like being able to use my own settings for maximum possible picture quality rather than get tied down by settings limited in tools.

If you use avisynth then you can string all the videos into a single title, encode them as one video, and author and add chapters as required.

The latest beta of DVD Flick will do what you want. You can add multiple clips to a title (as you always could) and have it create chapter stops based on the joins. Probably the simplest solution to you immediate problem.

@Delta2 : The questions was specific to FAVC, as was my answer.

I will try the AviSynth idea.

DVD Flick and AVI2DVD didn't give me good results(aliasing problem).
