    Hi,

I used my HD camcorder to record in 1920x1080i and then used Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 to edit the videos and export it to DVD.

The problem is the output video is missing some pixels in the top and bottom.

As my original clips are 1920x1080i and when I select "DVD Widescreen", the output is not the correct.

I have tried using "square pixels 1:0" and 1024x576 (16:9) but still wrong output.

    Which setting shall I select?

For DVD PAL, select 720x576 16:9 Aspect Ratio

When I select "PAL DVD Widescreen", it's still 1.422 not 1.78
It says in the "Pixel aspect ratio D1/DV PAL Widescreen 16:9 (1.422).

I have uploaded the settings panels.

1.422 is correct. You have to think in non-square pixels. 16:9 (1.78:1) is how it is displayed, but using non-square pixels it is actually stored at 1.422 (give or take a little). Note that the 4:3 setting doesn't say 1.33, but 1.067.

It still doesn't work fine. It still crops all the way... seldom I select "Widescreen 1.422 (16:9)"

Look at my original(left) and the output (right).

Then the issue is not the output setting resolution, but something else in your process.

    Time to read the manual.

You mention a square pixel 1920x1080i camcorder source. Are you sure? What camcorder format is this?

If correct, I would set a 1920x1080i square pixel project and edit at native resolution, then resize to 720x576i or 720x576p at DV wide aspect ratio uncompressed. Then encode that to DVD MPeg2.

If the source is HDV or AVCHD, the source is more likely non-square pixel 1440x1080i.
