  1. Plain and simple: how can I export SVCD mpeg files to my vcr?

I have adobe premiere 6. I can't open svcd files with it tho, but can it still be done with a plug-in or do I have to use another editor?

Or do I have to export the file to another format and then export it to tape? With what program could this be done?

    Thanx in advance.

  2. I forgot to mention that I have a pinnacle firewire card, if that is of any help

  3. This might sound stupid, but I'd probably play the svcd, RCA patch cord from a breakout box, hit the REC button and just record the things. I've done a few short cheezy films that way after slapping them together on the PC. What kind of audio and video outs do you have?
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

  4. No, it doesn't sound stupid, it actually sounds pretty witty because I don't really understand the procedure.

I don't have mpeg or tv card, if that is what you mean? I have a GeForce 2 as a graphics card, but that doesn't have any specialities. My sound card is the basic SB Live so I can send audio to a receiver.

    Thanx for the reply.

  5. Does your video card have a TV-out jack? If so, run that to your TV (along with audio from the sound card. If your TV doesn't have a SVHS input, you might need something like this:

It's 20 bucks, but you can find them cheaper than that if you look a little bit.
