I keep getting the following warning window when I begin to burn DVDs with "ImgBurn." Although I proceed, the DVDs have not been playing audio on settop players, any connection? They play fine on laptops.

What should I do to correct the situation reflected in this "ImgBurn" warning window?

    Thanks.

Is your disc very close to full? This sometimes happens if there is very little left over space. This prevents ImgBurn from having enough room to move things around to establish a good point for the layer break. You can try removing something or if you encoded this yourself, you can reduce the bit rate a little bit to reduce the total size of your disc.

  3. Are you using build mode with DVD+R DL?
You need to use DVD files in build mode to set the layer break.
As for the audio are you making a backup or is it homemade video?

I'm using build mode with DVD+R DL, and it is a homemade video made from MPEG-2 source material.

You need to go back to your authoring software and create appropriate cells for a layer break. If your authoring software doesn't support correct DL authoring you might be able to use PGCEdit to insert a new cell.

  6. I agree with guns1inger...there's something wrong with your authoring software.
I would install DVDShrink and set output to DVD-9(no compression),then have it create DVD files. If there's anything wrong with the source files it will let you know.I have created DVD-9's out of pressed DVD-10's using DVDShrink then I use build mode in ImgBurn making sure to click Calculate to set the layer break.

There are two issues here - Cell size and the size of the DVD. If the disc is near capacity, ImgBurn doesn't have enough headroom to properly define the layer break if the cell size is too big at the appropriate break point. The bigger the cells, the more difficult it is to define the layer break if the disc is almost at full DVD-9 capacity. Normally, cell size on a single layer disc isn't a very significant issue. But with dual layer, it can get in the way of a proper layer break point. The fuller the disc is, the more significant this becomes.

    This can be easily fixed.

Note the sector range that ImgBurn gave.
Then use VobBlanker and in the titleset that is in the sector range, SPLIT the cell. (You do not have to make it a chapter).
Then burn again with ImgBurn and it should select the cell split location for the layer break.
