Is there a way to stream via the USB port?

Can I connect WDTV to my PC and play content of a networked drive through the PCs LAN connectivity?

I don't see how. The wd tv player is set up primarily for usb drives. It doesn't have a networkable interface.

Perhaps some type of automated NAS might work? You'd be better off getting a real nas type deal or go for a different product altogether if you really want to do network streaming.

From what I've read, there are some people who've had success with the WDTV hooked up to an NAS that is capable of utilizing both the ethernet port and USB 2.0 ports simultaneously. If I remember correctly, apparently D-Link and Buffalo/LaCie have a device that will work. Don't remember the forum I saw it on but I'm sure a quick google search will be able to find a similar discussion. However, if all this is too much trouble, you may be better off getting a different device as yoda313 suggested. For example, the popcorn hour devices have built in networking capability.
