  1. Hi. I downloaded the trial version of VEgas Video 3.0 and I had a question about the effects that you can apply to the video. When you go to select an effect, it takes you to that screen where you can edit the effect whatever way you want. My question is how can you modify the effect so that it isn't in the whole clip? Whenever I apply an effect, it stays on the whole clip. I only want it to be at a certain part of it. Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks :P

    Hi Mike,

Open Vegas, load your source AVI file into timeline. Select video track. Then click with your mouse where you want to insert your FX. Then click Edit on the menu bar and then click Split. Now click with your mouse where you want your FX to stop. Click Edit on the menu bar and click Split. Then drag and drop your FX into that split part of your video track.

    Regards.
