hi,
ive bought a wintv PCI card [with the fm radio]
and my specs are
amd athlon xp 1.7
512mb ram
and a nvdia tnt2 32 megs
And i can only watch tv in the so called force primary mode ,
as soon as i get in allow overlay mode'' witch is the mode the card is sposed to run.... i get like 1 frame every 7 seconds its mad.
i tried WinVcr to do a direct capture[yea i know bout vdub etc] and this auto puts the card in allow overlay mode so i never got that to work as the previeuw mode was already droppin like mad
another thing is i cant get vdub to capture with sound...but thats prolly my poor soundcard a soundblaster pci 128
but could anybody help me on my wintv prob
its slow as hell on allow overlay mode.
what could be the problem?
i would think my system is pretty fast
plz help me out, info hints and help is very appreciated.

you can't capture squat in overlay....get VDub and use preview...NOT overlay...

thanks for replying,
witch my card came an app that lets me run my card in 3 modes
force primary
allow overlay
and dib raw
from what i gathered out the manual overlay was the mode it should run in, n force primary sort of a safe mode,
so i take it, overlay never works properly....i have a real fast comp.
and i know bout vdub.....wouldl ike to try direct mpeg capture tough -
download the latest video card driver. to fix your overlay problem. i myself solve the problem by downloading the latest driver
