  1. can it be directly connected to a pc monitor since it is a microsoft product? and does it have overscan problem when watching dvd?

    The fact that it is a microsoft product has nothing to do with it, but yes it can. Either look for the VGA or DVI cable, you can find them at amazon, buy the Microsoft version as some of the third party ones aren't of quality.

    I have not had overscan problems period with DVDs so I can't tell you if it has the issue you speak of.

    There is a vga hd cable you can use. I have it to hook up to my lcd hdtv since my xbox 360 isn't a hdmi model.
