2 subtitles , 1 for toptitle 2 subtitle

hi
i've two subtitles for syriana , english & persian . i want english be toptitle & persian be subtitle , timing are same , and then i will convert this to sub/idx .
how can do these things ?

I only have a solution for SUP files: Supviewer.
You can convert your two subtitles (english & persian) separately to sup (using srt2sup, txt2sup or similar), load both sup files in supviewer (persian first, then english as second stream) and export the combined (english=toptitle and persian=subtitle) as new sup file. Maybe there is also a sup->sub/idx converter.

If he can get them into SUP format, it's simple to then convert SUP to IDX/SUB. Open SubtitleCreator and go Tools->Manipulate SUP or VobSub. Then in the new screen "Open Sub" (Open the SUP file), followed by "Save Sub" (save as IDX/SUB).

As this question arises quite often, someone should probably write a 'simple' guide on this topic...

BTW: If the 'final destination' is not DVD, but just viewing the movie on a computer, then it is much easier to use a player with the possibility to show more than one subtitle. There are several players with this functionality.
