Hi
Not sure where in the forum this question should be posted so hope it's ok here.

I have a particular problem that is occurring in theabove version I have on my PC desktop. ( I have a fairly hi-spec PC with 6gbram & a 1TB drive. Fitted with a LHBlu-Ray Writer Model HL-DT-ST- BD-RE GGW-H20L.) I have been editing &burning movie/still photo projects for years using Studio 9, 12 & 14 andburning to BD-RE using MPEG 2 and no problems.

The problem only occurs when the codec used for theproject & burn is H264. I burn the same project to BD-RE using the code cogMPEG (2) and there are no problems at all.

The problem is that after about 1 minute of perfect playon a Panasonic Bluray Player - Model DMP-BD60 latest version firmware 2.64 –the video becomes jerky, by that I mean it moves forward every 2 seconds andcontinues like that throughout the rest of the movie. There is no problem with the audio track, thisplays fine.

The problem only occurs when there is a combination ofAVCHD H.264 (.mts) and stills photos of either JPEG or Tiffs and thefinished project is burnt to BD-RE and played in the Bluray Player - ModelDMP-BD60 latest version firmware 2.64. The preview on the PC is perfect.

If the stills are removed and the project burnt withoutstills and only movie clips it works perfectly.

I have tried creating the same project using Chapters andputting the movie on one chapter and the Still Photo’s on the other but theproblem still occurs with the jerky movement on the movie after about 1 minuteof play.

I always delete render files and re-render entire projectafter making any alterations.

I have spent many days trying to resolve the problem butcan’t find an explanation or remedy online so wonder if anyone out there canthrow some light on this issue.

I would also mention that I have two hard drives on my PCand did a complete clean install of Avid Studio on the second drive but stillget the same results.

I produced the same project in Pinnacle Studio 14 HD Ultimateusing Codec BDMV (AVC ) and the resultwas perfect when viewed on screen or after being burnt to a BD-RE and played onthe Panasonic Blu-ray player. So something unique with Avid Studio and codecH264!
