    Hi

    I have a 4:3 WMV file. The video is actually 16:9 but a black border have been added to the top and the bottom. Is it possible to hide these borders without reencoding the movie file for example by using an ASF/WMV cropping header (if a such exists). My screen is a wide screen and these windowed films annoys me!

    No. If you crop, you have to re-encode. WMV does not like being re-encoded, so expect a quality drop unless you settle for a much larger filesize.
