Hi I have 2 conversion programmes that work fine upto now, my problem is I bought a Disney DVD at the weekend to shrink down to put on my Ipod, like I have done with all my other DVDs that I have bought, but I think Disney have hidden the movie on the disc. My programmes pick up everything else, e.g. trailers etc but not the movie, can someone please tell me what I need to do to make the movie title visible. The 2 programmes I use are Visual Hub and DVD to Ipod Converter on a MAC OSX.

use dvdfab decrypter to extract the movie only to the hard drive before trying to convert.

edit - sorry i didn't notice you are on a mac, use whatever is available that does the job on a mac.

How about ripping your DVD with MactheRipper and choosing the option 'Main Feature Extraction'. That should give you a VIDEO_TS folder containing only the feature film and none of the extra's.

Disney tends to use more advanced -- and more troublesome -- encryption/authoring techniques than other studios. As Levina suggests, try Mactheripper. If the older, free version does not work, then try the newest version (not free, but inexpensive). Register at ripdifferent.com

    and then go from there.

Obviously you are already using a ripper program if you've converted other movies to your iPod, I'd give Handbrake a try. Very good and free program.
