    I need to unlock my DVD player in order to be able to play zone1 movies that I hire from a video shop because those movies cannot just play on any dvd,please help! [/s][/u][/i][/b]

    If not then google your dvd player name and region free code.

    It's "region 1" for DVD, not "zone 1". I think BluRay uses "zones" not "regions" so please do get your terms correct as you can unintentionally misled people otherwise.

    All DVD players cannot be unlocked. Some of the ones that were able to be unlocked in the past can't be unlocked now because the manufacturer has made hardware changes during the production and the unlock codes don't work any more. This is why you need to be sure your DVD player can be unlocked BEFORE you buy rather than just assuming after the fact that it can be.
