Hi i'm kinda new to converting and burning movies to dvds, I've a bunch of tv series which are in .rm format and i'd love to burn them onto dvd format so i can watch them on tv.

    Just like to know :
    1. How do i convert the .rm files to dvd format? Any recommended programs?

    2. Is there anyway i can try and compress the files so that i can squeeze more episodes onto one disc? (One .rm file is about 230 mb or so)

    2. Subsequently having done so, what's a good DVD authoring tool?

As far as my knowledge goes i do know i have to convert the files into .vob format, and i've tried doing so and burning however when i playback on my DVD player nothing seems to come out.

Hope someone can give me some pointers here, thanks in advance!

    1. I would try ConvertXtoDVD.
    2. You can squeeze 3-4 hours / dvd with decent quality.
    3. ConvertXtodvd will author for you.

If you are looking for free tools it might work with favc together with real alternative.

Real Media is just awful quality. You can convert them with ConvertXtoDVD, but don't be surprised if the quality is very bad. The more files you to try to fit on a single DVD, the worse the quality will be.

Oh okay, i'm trying out Convertxdvd now, thanks alot for the tip!

**Anyway i have no choice because these shows are usually downloaded in .rm format, presumably because its filesize is small compared to other formats i guess, but i think the quality is still pretty decent .. at least on my screen it is.

*** Update : ConvertxtoDVD worked a treat. Thanks!
