( COD4 ) Does the P90 Suck. Simple Yes Or No

Having an argument with a friend and need a poll to settle this. The question is simply which gun is the better overall gun. The argument is not map or game-type specific, so consider the gun for use in any situation, hence the question being which is "overall" the better gun.

My argument is that the P90 is one of the best guns in the game (second to the M16) and it's low range is countered by the low recoil, high rate of fire, and more ammo. I think My friend is crazy for saying the p90 sucks.

His argument is that the range and power on the AK-74 are higher, which makes for more accurate long distance kills and less bullets to need to kill with. He aslo thinks that the p90 sucks . He also thinks the p90 is for noobs .

I don't want to add too much, as I don't want to sway the poll in either direction. So which gun is better overall, the P90 or the AK-74u?



Please post p90 or ak74 so we can end this arguement. Feel free to explain why you think your answer is the correct one.

First off, both of you are kind of comparing apples to oranges. The AK-47 is meant to do well in close-combat as well as medium distance shooting. The P90 more or less specializes in close-combat. Both can extend well beyond their intended range as I've counter-sniped with the AK-47 and you can pick off enemies from surprisingly far away with the P90 as long as you shoot in very short bursts.

Almost all of the "gun x vs. gun y" arguments simply come down to taste and fighting style - what works well for one person may not work for another. I absolutely hated the P90 when I first tried it out because I was used to mid-ranged fighting with a rifle. After getting the hang of close-combat fighting, I now make heavy use of the P90 whenever I want to run-and-gun. I'm not a particular fan of the AK-47 due to its "sway" when aiming, but I know plenty of people who love its high damage and don't mind a little sway. For rifles, I'd personally go with an M16A4 with stopping power since it's basically a sniper rifle with no zoom. But hey, that's just me.

Sorry not to give a straight answer, but there really isn't one. There are forums where debates over "which sniper rifle is the best" have gone on for 30+ pages and the only resolution that people could agree on was "if it works for you, use it."

(Oh, and if you really want to piss people off in-game, snipe them from across the map with an RPD w/grip.)
