Losing audio halfway through DVD slideshow...

I created a photo slide show using Photoshop Elements. I converted the WMV file to DVD using Avi2DVD. I then burned it onto DVD using CDBurnerXP. The whole slide show plays fine when I preview it on Elements and it also plays fine when I use Windows Media Player to view it. When I play it on my DVD player it starts out fine and then in the middle it loses audio while the slide show keeps running. I've tried burning it 3 times now and the same thing happens. The only difference is that the first time I tried the audio stopped in a different spot. Any advice or suggestions? I'm trying to make this as a gift and I'm getting really frustrated.

I would try convert to dvd using DVD Flick or FAVC instead.
