Many times when I rip subtitles with VSRip I notice that the quality is bad. Not unreadable, but it doesn't look very good. Is there a way to fix this? What causes this? I thought it might have something to do with the AR, resolution or AR error, but there seems to be different quality on each language.

Some DVD image subtitles are just not that good looking and as they are images you can't easily change them, you must then convert the dvd image subtitles to text first with for example dvdsubedit or subrip.
