  1. To anyone that can help me here:

I have been usually getting AVI files and they are easy to convert to MPEG, but I have stumbled on what seems to be a hard type of file to convert!!

I recently downloaded two movie files in ASF format, using the recent TMPGEnc it wont convert them, it just stalls then freezes the program, then I have to use the cntr alt del buttom to close it out.

I have checked all settings and all is good for a VCD in NTSC format, I even tried to not use any filters and it still stalls.

I tried to use virtual dub to separate the audio and video files and that program it says wont and does not support ASF format anymore.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong or a program that will work with ASF files.

I thought that maybe the program TMPGEnc was not working on my PC but I tried a AVI file on my PC and it started to convert it ok.

The ASF files plays perfect with windows media players ok.

    Thanks in advance THE DROID.
