Ok. I'm having a really tough time with the guide system on this forum. I'm trying to learn how
to encode audio inside x264.exe (command line tool) and I can't because the it seems that the
sites guide is either down or I'm doing something wrong. Below is snip of what I've been trying
to do inside the search fields but no matter what I words/phrases I enter, I get no hits.

Can someone help me with the guides, please ??

    Thanks,

  2. x264 is just for video encoding. Audio is usually done separately and added into the container later. Although some GUI's for the x264 CLI simplify this and do it all for you. Some examples would be ripbot264, avidemux, automkv.

The backend for Wav => AAC is usually done by nerodigital AAC or CT-AAC, both CLI as well.

Thanks. You were just too quick in your resonse, and I apprciate it. So, I guess that's why
there were no hits in the guide search. Actually, I'm not looking for any gui tools. I'm just
looking for the method to encode an h264 with video and audio, but all the google
searches came up blank. As you can tell I'm still a newbie in h264 encoding, but since i'm
using the x264.exe tool (for the first time with audio, cause all my other demos were w/out
audio -- wasn't needed for my experiments) its all confusing to me get get a demo clip up
in h264 w/ audio. I just wanted to throw up something real quickly but thats not working
out. I've been at this since last night and I feel like an idiot right now. But, thanks for
    your help.

Thanks for your help and suggested software. Unfortunately, I'm a WIN98 fan and don't have
the luxury or patience to work with .NET or other non-win98 machines. I still use my win98
machine for encoding some videos and audio on. Anyway, I'm too tired out from the day.
So, I'll close out and hope to find better luck with all this, tomorrow. Thanks again.

Since this topic was about the Searching in the Guides section, and I found out I was in error
with my purpose, I will consider this topic closed, and move my additional (x264/audio) questions
in another topic, if I feel it necessary.
