  1. Hi to all this is my first post. My intention was to capture and restore some 5-10 very old (from 1985 and so on homemade videos of my family and transfer it to DVD. I had some previous experience in video editing (adobe and Sony products) and also some restoration of digital sources ( practically with neat video and many avysinth filters. So in order to do that I bought used NV-HS1000 for 50 euro ( it is tough to find good svhs in my country (Macedonia) or cheap for that matter and E-bay and Amazon or any other internet services don't ship here. The gay gave me another broken NV-HS1000 for spear parts as he sad it. I tested the vcr ( play record ff and rw and so on )and everything was fine and took it home. When I put one cassette when I tried to put my cassette to FF the vcr started to put strange sound like metal scrubbing and after while jammed my cassette put brand new Panasonic vhs tape and started to record everything was fine so a rewind it and fast forward it again and the some sound happened and after the vcr started to speed the ff process jammed my new vcr cassette again ( so I concluded that is not the tape). I opened the vcr and take off the mechanical part ( the whole thing just slides off and is on two screws that is the part where the head and some rotors are so I take it out, take off the cables ( the flat white ones and all others) and inside I saw on the back side that the two rollers ( the white plastic ones, the ones that take the cassette and are labeled left and right, where little lose so I presumed that why the cassettes jammed. So I tithed them a little and I return everything back together. Now the problem is that the cassette loading mechanism ( the cage that takes the cassettes pushes it only half way and doesn't slips them trough down so they will be taken by the other mechanism.
I hope I didn't screw something in the process so I tried many times to dissemble and resemble again and the some problem occurs
My question is did is this reparable, can be that the mechanism is so weak because the second vcr (the broken one) had the same problem among other things or this is Achilles foot of this vcrs
Very sorry for my long letter any advice is really appreciated because I'm really desperate
    Thanks

  3. Hi, Did you find a solution to your problem? I have a similar issue with the same machine I just bought but my issue is that the tapes are not ejected. The door only seems to open part way and blocks the tape from coming out. Any info you have on the load eject mechanism would be really appreciated.

    Thanks!
