    I had my Matshita UJ-810 die. I am looking to spend anywhere from $35 to $85 bucks for an external cd/dvd burner. I would just be using it to burn dvds, clone/back-up dvds, rip cds for my iPod. I would like a lightscribe capatable one but it's not that important. So anyone who has good advise or can point me to the right direction. It will be more then welcomed.

    Basically you will get varied responses based on everyones personal experiences and preferences. Any of the name brand models will likely suit you just fine.
