Alright, I'll stat off by saying that I am a noob to the whole audio/video world. Im slowly learning one day at a time. So I am going tot ry to explain this the best that I can. please let me know what other information is needed.

I am using WinAvi Video Converter. I have a movie that is in 2 avi files. I want to be able to burn them as one to dvd. While using WinAvi if I do not keep the titles seperate I do not get any audio output after I convert them from avi to dvd. If I tell winavi to make it one dvd, but keep the titles seperate I get audio output. The only problem is I only get the movie in french. Before converting there is english and french options. After converting the english option is no longer there. Let me know what you think. any help would be great.

    Thanks

WinAVI is about the bottom of the barrel for MPEG converters, JMO. You might try the freeware FAVC or the payware ConvertX, both of which work a lot better. Most of us have about given up trying to suggest fixes for WinAVI problems.

Next time, do try to add more information regarding "avi"

Use gspot or mediainfo to determine what both avi's include data stream wise, and that they match

If they do, you could, depending on the codecs used, simply append them using vdub, video and audio to direct stream copy, output as a new avi

From here, encode from avi to dvd type

You might even give avidemux a shot at it, and if these use x264, when avidemux suggests safe mode, you had better follow that advice, or they'll end up stutterish.

Winavi = out the window, there's many things which cause problems, and there are far better products available, both commercially and freeware
