I am trying to transfer a video from a Sony DCR 26 Mini DV camcorder to Roxio and then burn the video to DVD. When the video is streaming from the camcorder to Roxio, it appears on the camcorder screen to be doing so in normal time; however, replaying the video on Roxio (and on a burned DVD), it speeds up to 2X.
How can I slow the transferred video down so it looks normal when replayed? Roxio troubleshooting is no help, nor is Sony's. I would imagine this is as simple as adjusting a setting somewhere, but I can't find the proper information.
I am completely and utterly new to this and not particularly computer-literate. Thanks.

hi and welcome to the forums!
the typical workflow for miniDV to burning dvdr goes like this. plug the cam into the computer using firewire cable. use winDV to transfer the tape to the computer maintaining the DVavi format of the tape. use an encoder to convert from DVavi to dvd spec mpeg-2. use an authoring tool to convert the mpeg-2 into dvd format vobs, ifos and bups. use a burning tool like imgburn to make the dvdr.--
