Is there a way to install a printer onto a new computer without the installation disk? I tried plugging the USB cord into my laptop and letting it find the new hardware, but all it did was install it so I can use the scanner, but it failed installing the printer. Any ideas?

Go to the website of the company that makes the printer and see if they have drivers and whatnot that you can download. Then put it somewhere on your hard drive and when the computer is scanning for new hardware [i.e., the printer] direct it to that folder on your hard drive and it should find and install the driver etc.
