  1. I recently purchased 2 AG-1970 and 1 AG-1980. After some research, I found that these models (as many do) suffer from dried out capacitors, usually accelerated by a build up of internal heat. I found these models very poorly ventilated, so I decided to vent them. I was all ready to perforate the top cover when I realized a simple solution. The top cover is mounted with 4 screws which thread into the side of the chassis. Approx. 3/4" above these screw holes in the chassis, there are another set of screw holes unused. This allows you to remount the cover 3/4" higher than normal allowing maximum cooling. It may look funky but works well...
